Printing a Page Range

Before printing a report, you can easily select which printer to use, the page numbers that are to be print, and the number of copies of the report. All of these options are set in the Printer Settings window, which can be prompted to appear when you choose to print a report.

Printer Settings Window

To view the Printer Settings window it is necessary to set the report to prompt for the window. This is done in the 'Select Default Printer' window. It only needs to be set once per report. Follow these steps:

  1. Select the button in PharmaClik Rx Reports.
  2. The 'Select Default Printer' window is displayed on the screen. In the top section of the window, scroll down until you see the name of the report.
  3. Select the Prompt checkbox for the report. There should now be a checkmark in the box.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for any other reports that you would like to flag.
  5. Press the OK button in the 'Select Default Printer' window.

Note: To select the Prompt checkbox for all reports, press the Change All button. Select Yes in the Prompt dropdown list. Press OK. This will select the checkbox for ALL items that can be printed from PharmaClik Rx and PharmaClik Rx Reports. Be sure to deselect the checkbox for counselling leaflets and any other items for which you do NOT want a prompt to appear prior to printing. Please note that the prompt will NEVER appear for prescription labels, even if they are flagged.

Selecting Specific Printer Settings

Now that individual reports are flagged to prompt, the Printer Settings window will always appear when you choose to print one of these reports. The window will contain the default settings for the report; any changes made to this window will only apply to the current report, and will not affect the default settings.

  • To direct the report to a printer other than the default (e.g. WinFax) select the printer from the Printer dropdown list.
  • To print from a specific printer tray make a selection from the Tray dropdown list.
  • To print multiple copies of the report enter the required number in the Copies field.
  • To print specific pages enter the page range in the Range field (e.g. to print the first five pages enter 1-5 as the range, to print only the second page enter 2 as the range, to print the second and the fifth page enter 2,5 as the range).

Press the OK button once you are ready to print the report. Pressing the Cancel button in the 'Printer Settings' window will abort the print request.
